Blue butterfly with a broken wing The AccessAbility SIG of STC is pleased to bring you another STC conference accessibility guide. Download a PDF of the guide at http://www.stc.org/55thConf/access/index.asp. To help you plan your journey to Philadelphia and the 2008 Technical Communication Summit, look for the guide on the conference site under "Accessibility" at http://www.stc.org/55thConf/index.asp.

Feedback from attendees at the 2007 conference shaped the accessibility guide for this year’s conference. Attendees wanted accessibility information when they were planning their trip and deciding whether they could attend. They were concerned about mobility, vision, or hearing issues that could affect their conference experience, and they needed to know that information before they could make a decision to attend. We hope they – and others – are satisfied with the timeliness of this information in this year’s guide.

Let us know what you think about the guide. We encourage your comments and questions here on the blog. Your discussions and feedback can shape future accessibility guides and benefit everyone. Information for attendees with disabilities tends to be useful for all attendees.

Don’t forget. There is still time to plan your trip and get the early bird rates. See http://www.stc.org/55thConf/register/index.asp.

See you in Philly!
