Scooting around Atlanta

The AccessAbility SIG began their fine tradition of conference accessibility guides for the STC conference to ensure that all members could attend. All members. Even those with, say, special mobility needs. As long-time SIG member, Mike Murray, declares, if it weren’t for the guide, he wouldn’t be able to attend. He must know that he can use a scooter to “run” around the conference like the rest of us.

Last year in Philadelphia, and again this year in Atlanta, we contacted Scootaround about scooter rentals for members who want to save the bother of transporting their own scooter or wheelchair to the conference. The following information was posted to the conference site in January, but we’ll repeat it for your convenience.

Scooter and wheelchair rentals are available by contacting Scootaround Inc. at their Toll-Free hotline: +1 (888) 441-7575.

You can also submit a rental inquiry on the web on the special link for STC Summit attendees or by fax at +1 (204) 478-1172.
